WASHINGTON, D.C. — Rep. Chris Pappas (D-NH) doubled down today on voting against President Trump’s One Big, Beautiful Bill. Pappas previously opposed the legislation in May. The legislation provides historic middle-class tax cuts, no taxes on tips and overtime, funding to permanently secure the border, strengthens Social Security, and unleashes American energy.

Chris Pappas is out-of-touch with New Hampshire’s working families. Pappas:

  • Voted twice to allow biological males to compete in women’s sports.
  • Voted to raise taxes on Granite Staters making less than $400,000 per year and hire 87,000 new IRS agents to target middle-class taxpayers.
  • Supports raising the gas tax.
  • Supported reckless spending that led to crushing inflation
  • Opposes building a wall along the southern border.
  • Supports the government banning gas-powered cars.
  • Supports the radical, job-killing Green New Deal.
  • Voted to protect dangerous sanctuary cities, and refused to support legislation to crackdown on them.

“Chris Pappas’ opposition to the largest middle-class tax cut in history shows he’s out-of-touch with New Hampshire’s working families,” said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Nick Puglia. “There’s not a tax Pappas doesn’t want to raise, and in 2026, Pappas will be rejected by voters for failing to fight for them.”
