As Chris Pappas and Democrats’ DHS shutdown hits day 40, 50,000 TSA agents are still working without pay. Chris Pappas voted to shut down DHS to protect illegal aliens and the Senate Democrats supporting him have opposed Republican efforts to fully fund DHS 14 times now.
While TSA agents are forced to work without pay, Chris Pappas and his Democrat colleagues are still collecting their taxpayer-funded paycheck and even blocked Republican legislation to withhold congressional pay during the shutdown.
“Our airports are in chaos and TSA agents are not getting paid because Chris Pappas and Democrats continue to hold DHS funding hostage in their outrageous effort to protect illegal aliens,” said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Samantha Cantrell. “Since Chris Pappas is putting illegal aliens over TSA paychecks, he should not receive one either.”
