WASHINGTON, D.C. — Rep. Chris Pappas today voted against legislation that includes historic middle-class tax cuts, funding to permanently secure the border, and unleashes American energy.
“Chris Pappas is so obsessed with hating Republicans that he would rather vote against securing the border and putting more money in Granite Staters’ pockets instead of giving New Hampshire families a tax break,” said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Nick Puglia.
Pappas supports raising taxes on the middle class. Pappas:
- Voted for legislation that would have raised taxes on Granite Staters making less than $400,000 per year, and hired 87,000 new IRS agents to target middle-class taxpayers.
- Voted to allow the government to ban gas-powered cars twice, and even supported raising the gas tax.
Pappas is pro-open borders. Pappas:
Opposes common-sense border security measures like a wall.
Voted to protect sanctuary cities, and failed to support legislation to crackdown on them.
