The confirmation hearings for President-elect Donald Trump’s cabinet are in full swing and waiting in the wings to create chaos is Missouri’s own Claire McCaskill.

McCaskill must have missed the election results in Missouri where President-elect Trump won by an overwhelming 18 points. So why is she being an outspoken advocate against a smooth transition of power? Remember not that long ago in 2013 McCaskill scolded her colleagues during a confirmation hearing saying:

“I do think a great deal of deference should be given to the Commander in Chief on his selection…”

So, will 2017 Claire agree with 2013 Claire and give deference to President-elect Trump?

“Claire McCaskill has a real choice to make – obstruct the confirmation process for General John Kelly or uphold the will of Missourians,” said NRSC Spokeswoman Katie Martin. “If McCaskill wants to join her liberal elite buddies by creating chaos during the confirmation process she should remember the folks back home in Missouri are watching.”
