Someone should nominate Senator Tester for an Oscar following his tremendously phony act in “Dark Money,” a new Hollywood documentary looking at the impact of Citizens United in Montana.

Two Faced Tester’s hypocrisy is on full display in the film as he puts on his best act, going on and on about wanting to ban out-of-state super PACs … just as long as they aren’t the out-of-state super PACs propping up his own campaign!

Tester has been a MAJOR beneficiary of super PAC and dark money group spending. This cycle alone liberal groups have poured in nearly $12 million to back him (but you’ll never hear Tester make a peep about it). Not to mention, he’s secretly worked to game the system and ensure he can cash in on as much liberal dark money as possible. (Click here to watch our video to see how.)

If Senator Tester were sincere in wanting to get dark money out of politics, why wouldn’t he call on his liberal allies to cancel the millions they’re spending to support him?

“Only the swampiest of two-faced politicians like Jon Tester would expect they could fool Montanans with such utter hypocrisy,” said NRSC Spokesman Calvin Moore. “Tester only throws a tantrum about dark money in politics because it’s politically expedient, but is all too happy to take the millions in dark money being spent to help his failing campaign. Will Tester put his money where his mouth is and tell these groups to cancel the millions they’ve reserved for him this fall?”
