As Cuban Independence Day approaches, Governor Rick Scott spoke directly to Florida’s Cuban community at a roundtable today, highlighting his strong commitment to stand with the Cuban people and support their freedom and human rights.

Bill Nelson, on the other hand, has some commitment issues:

Earlier in his long political career, Bill Nelson voted numerous times to maintain the Cuba travel ban.

But then he fully embraced the Obama’s administration decision to normalize relations with the island’s Communist dictatorship, calling it a “Hallelujah Day” and that the United States needed to “move on” from Cuba.

And then, when asked about the Trump Administration’s Cuban policy change, the Tampa Bay Times reported that Bill Nelson kept quiet and tried to have it both ways on the issue.

By the looks of it, Bill Nelson is committed to one thing: politics.
