Washington, D.C. – Yesterday, during a House Committee markup, Pennsylvania Senate candidate Congressman Conor Lamb voted against protecting and promoting American energy security and Pennsylvania energy jobs.

He voted AGAINST:

  • An amendment to protect American energy security and Pennsylvania energy jobs by limiting DOE funds from supporting activities that preclude the use of fossil fuels for power or that limit the economic competitiveness of the U.S.
  • An amendment to promote an all-of-the-above approach to clean energy by adding nuclear, hydrogen, and fossil demonstration projects to the list of renewable technologies eligible for energy demonstration funding.

Bolstering American energy production and security are some of the most important issues to hardworking Pennsylvania families. Energy jobs are one of the main drivers of the state’s economy, providing tens of thousands of jobs. But it seems that Conor Lamb’s voting record with Nancy Pelosi and Washington Democrats is more important than supporting hardworking Pennsylvanians.

Statement from NRSC Spokeswoman Lizzie Litzow: “Conor Lamb is just another extreme progressive liberal joining the other extreme progressive liberals in Pennsylvania’s Senate race. Lamb has already voted 93% of the time with Nancy Pelosi and will continue to be a rubber stamp for the dangerous liberal policies. Pennsylvanians deserve a leader who will put them over the liberals in Washington.”
