Nevada’s Senior Senator Also Avoiding the Word “Inflation” on Her Website

Washington, D.C. – Democrats from coast to coast are having a hard time avoiding the elephant in the room: Joe Biden and his deeply unpopular agenda that they support.

Senator Catherine Cortez Masto, arguably the weakest incumbent in America, is having a particularly hard time. Check out this bit from the Washington Post today:

“Those economic anxieties, combined with low approval ratings for Biden, have put Democrats like Cortez Masto on the defensive. The word “inflation” does not appear on the senator’s campaign website. Asked what she thinks of the White House’s efforts to address people’s economic woes, Cortez Masto neither praised nor criticized, and focused on Republicans. She does not answer questions about whether she supports Biden for reelection, telling reporters she is focused on her state.”

Putting aside the fact that Cortez Masto doesn’t mention the #1 issue facing Americans – inflation – on her website, Nevada’s senior Senator won’t even mention the nation’s chief executive and whether or not he should run again.

Joe Biden’s approval rating in Nevada is at a shockingly low 30%, so it’s not a huge surprise that Cortez Masto would prefer to talk about anything else. There’s just one problem: Cortez Masto voted for nearly all of what Biden stands for! In fact, she votes with President Biden 92.3% of the time.

You can avoid talking about inflation and Biden all you want, but when you voted for everything that is negatively impacting your state, people will pay attention.

Statement from NRSC Spokesman T.W. Arrighi: “Catherine Cortez Masto is petrified of the monster she created when she voted to approve every bit of the failed Biden agenda.  She won’t criticize Biden for fear of alienating her base but won’t say she wants him to run again either. But what voters are concerned about is what she has already done on the Senate floor.  Those votes are set in stone, and she will be held responsible for the damage done.”
