Despite her repeated statements decrying dark money in politics, Claire McCaskill is now touting the endorsement of a fundraiser for a dark money organization.
Just a day after raising money for Chuck Schumer’s dark money group, Majority Forward, Missouri Senate Minority Leader Gina Walsh gave her endorsement to McCaskill during an event at the State Capitol. And even though she has repeatedly denounced dark money groups, McCaskill was all too eager to tout Walsh’s endorsement.
“Claire McCaskill only wants money out of politics when it isn’t being spent on her behalf,” said NRSC Spokesman Bob Salera. “McCaskill is happy to benefit from all manner of outside spending by Chuck Schumer and his minions, and they are eager to support her because of McCaskill’s long record of siding with liberals in Washington over Missouri families.”
