Washington, D.C. – Democrat Val Demings, seeking a promotion to the U.S. Senate, refused to answer a question this morning on whether she supports the Cuba embargo. It’s a basic question, and one that any candidate running statewide in Florida should be able to answer. Even liberal Congresswoman and former DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz stated that she opposes lifting the embargo. Later in the day, Demings sent out a spokesperson to clean up her mess.

We all know why Demings is dodging the tough questions on Cuba. She’s terrified of the radical liberals in her party who are more interested in defending the Cuban regime and blaming America for the crisis in Cuba. Demings has REFUSED to call out Black Lives Matter and radicals in her party, like AOC, who point their finger at their favorite target for the plight of the Cuban people: America.

Other Florida Democrats have not been so shy

Statement from NRSC Spokeswoman Priscilla Ivasco: “Val Demings is terrified of the radicals in her own party who defend the Cuban regime and blame America for the plight of the Cuban people. She’s refused to call them out for their radical statements on Cuba and wouldn’t even say one way or the other whether she supports the Cuba embargo. A spokesperson had to clean up her mess hours later. Weak. Looks like 2022 is going to be a long cycle for Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer’s hand-picked candidate.”
