“The ad says he never worked a day in his life as a CPA – and the truth meter rings mostly true on that claim.”

Even more embarrassing, Murphy’s campaign wasn’t even able to respond (yes, once again) to a request for evidence to support his claims of experience as a small business owner:

“WESH 2 News asked the campaign to provide any documentation to refute any and all claims made in the ad. They provided no business records to effectively prove that Murphy was a ‘small business owner.’” (Greg Fox, “Truth Test: Murphy Work History Challenged,” WESH, 9/12/16)

Murphy’s utter inability to tell the truth has led national Democrats to throw up their hands and effectively walk away from his campaign. After “delaying” a major Florida ad buy for a week, Democrats are cutting yet another week of ad spending in Florida, slowly but surely setting Murphy adrift at sea.

“One of the main national political groups providing outside financial support to Patrick Murphy’s U.S. Senate campaign is further reducing its planned TV advertising time in Florida for September, the Herald/Times has confirmed.

“A week after the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee announced it would delay its first week of statewide advertising until Sept. 27, the group is now cutting its ad spending for that week by 70 percent.

“The DSCC had reserved $1 million in TV time for the last week of September but will now spend only $300,000 that week, a source familiar with the plan said.”

With no credibility and dwindling financial support, Privileged Patrick is left only with daddy’s checkbook to help drag him to Election Day. At least he’s already got his post-November plans hashed out.
