Senate Democrats continued their blind obstruction, voting against the Fiscal Year 2018 Senate Budget Resolution. Today’s budget resolution is an important first step to restoring common sense in Washington. This budget reduces spending by trillions, provides a path for tax reform that will reduce the burden on middle class families, and provides the maximum level of defense funding allowed under law. Democrats’ opposition to this commonsense budget demonstrates once again that their only interest is in obstructing President Trump and Senate Republicans’ efforts to grow our economy, help middle class families and bring fiscal discipline to the federal government.
