The NRSC released a new 60-second paid web ad today highlighting Catherine Cortez Masto’s dangerous national security positions. The ad is part of a broader national security campaign that will run five states including Nevada. The ads will be featured on YouTube and Facebook.

The ad emphasizes Cortez Masto’s support for the reckless Iran nuclear agreement. When Cortez Masto announced her support for Obama’s nuclear giveaway, she claimed she did so despite ‘having concerns with elements of the deal.’ When asked about specifics by journalist Jon Ralston, Cortez Masto couldn’t name a single piece of the agreement she found concerning.

Cortez Masto ducked and dodged questions about the nuclear agreement for months – likely at the direction of Harry Reid. As soon as Reid announced his support, Cortez Masto immediately fell in line, saying ‘we need to move forward’ with an agreement that awarded billions of dollars to terrorists.

Catherine Cortez Masto Supports The Iran Nuclear Agreement. “Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Catherine Cortez Masto has come out in favor of the nuclear agreement with Iran.” (Associated Press, 9/3/15)

Cortez Masto Claimed ‘I Do Have Concerns With Elements Of The Deal.’ “I do have concerns with elements of the deal. But the question comes down to this: What’s more likely to prevent a nuclear Iran?” (Cortez Masto Press Release, 9/3/15)

When Asked, Cortez Masto Wouldn’t Name A Single Element That Concerned Her. RALSTON: You have concerns with elements of the deal. Which elements? CORTEZ MASTO: Well, I will tell you right now, I think I understood everybody who was for and against it, but that’s not the issue now, Jon. The issue is, we have an agreement and we need to move forward united. RALSTON: What elements are you worried about? CORTEZ MASTO: Let me just say, that’s not the issue. Of course I think many people had concerns. Listen, I was in Israel last summer with a bipartisan group of attorneys general and I completely understand their fight for independence and security. But at the same time, this is an agreement that there is no going back. RALSTON: I understand that, but if you’re going to come out and say that you have concerns with elements of the deal, why would you come out and say something that specific and not give specifics? CORTEZ MASTO: Well, I am giving specifics. I’m telling you, I looked at the agreement. Of course, like many, there were concerns about elements of the deal. But at the end of the day, it is the agreement and we have to move forward.” (Ralston Live, 9/15/16)
