Washington, D.C. – Mark Kelly’s 2020 campaign platform centered on being a so-called “independent” voice for Arizona, but that independence is not the reality now that Mark Kelly is in the Senate.

Kyrsten Sinema – who isn’t afraid to be an independent voice for Arizona – has not been shy about her opposition to the job-killing tax hikes in the Democrats’ reckless tax and spending spree. But Mark Kelly? He continually demurs when asked about his stance on Senate Democrats’ job-killing tax hikes, only saying he will do what is best for Arizona.

All Mark Kelly has to do to form an answer to that question is pick up his hometown newspaper, the Arizona Daily Star, and read an op-ed from a local business owner pleading with him not to support job-killing tax hikes:

“When the government takes a bigger bite out of business profits, that means companies have less money to invest in things like new facilities, research and development, benefits and hiring. It means fewer jobs to go around. And companies support not just their own employees, but whole communities through the ripple effects of local spending. We sacrifice some of that support when we increase corporate taxes.”

Mark Kelly claims he will do what’s best for Arizona. In reality, Mark Kelly will do anything to preserve his title as “Washington Democrats’ Favorite Senator.”
