Ten years ago today, North Carolina’s so-called “bathroom bill” was signed into law — requiring biological males to use the men’s bathroom and biological women to use the women’s bathroom.

Roy Cooper vocally fought against the legislation for years. But now, Cooper’s record of defending radical transgender ideology is a vulnerability — and he knows it

  • Then Attorney General Cooper called HB2 a “national embarrassment” and refused to defend the law in court.
  • Cooper, a multimillionaireworked with woke out of state CEOs who wanted to repeal HB2 and threatened to inflict economic pain on North Carolina.
  • Cooper campaigned for Governor on repealing HB2 and eventually signed legislation repealing the law.
  • But now Cooper doesn’t want to talk about HB2, refusing to speak with the Washington Post about championing radical transgender ideology.
  • Cooper literally ran away when asked why he supports biological males in women’s sports and refused to say how many genders there are.

“Roy Cooper supports biological males competing in women’s sports, using women’s bathrooms and locker rooms, and allowing kids to undergo dangerous genital mutilation surgeries. Cooper fought tooth and nail to advance Democrats’ radical transgender agenda and North Carolinians know it,” said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Nick Puglia
