As the Senate gets ready to vote on President Trump’s nominee for EPA Administrator, Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt, Joe Donnelly has announced that he will side with far left environmental activists and vote against confirmation.
During his tenure as Attorney General, Pruitt led the fight against job-killing Obama-era EPA regulations, drawing the ire of liberal extremists. With his announcement that he will oppose Pruitt’s confirmation, Joe Donnelly is once again siding with his liberal colleagues in Washington instead of with Indiana workers.
“Joe Donnelly’s decision to join with Elizabeth Warren and far left environmentalists in their opposition to Scott Pruitt shows that his loyalties lie with Washington Democrats, not with Indiana workers,” said NRSC Spokesman Bob Salera. “Scott Pruitt has been in a leader in the fight against job-killing regulations, and Joe Donnelly’s opposition proves once again that Hoosiers can’t count on him to stand up for Indiana jobs.”
