Kamala Harris is in Michigan today with Abdul El-Sayed – which is awkward considering he called her failed presidential campaign that lost Michigan, “nauseating.”
Abdul and Kamala are scheduled to attend a roundtable on Black maternal health just days after the Washington Free Beacon reported that Abdul railed against the “breast cancer lobby,” called funding for research “disturbing,” and thinks that the disease only affects people with “social power and privilege.”
Abdul had a lot to say about Kamala’s failed presidential bid:
- Endorsed “Uncommitted” instead of President Joe Biden citing Israel’s war in Gaza, adding, “It’s a pretty crazy thing to ask a community to support a candidate who is using their tax dollars to drop bombs on their cousins.”
- Criticized Kamala for running on “joy,” saying, “I was watching the DNC and how can you claim to campaign on joy when we are literally sending money we could be using to provide people in our communities healthcare, to drop bombs on other people.”
- “Watching elders who look like your parents, children who look like your kids, be pulled in parts out of rubble for a year, and then watching the split screen of this manufactured campaign of joy on behalf of Democrats was nauseating,” El-Sayed said shortly after the election.
- Called her campaign, “the most painful three or four months of my time in politics.”
“Abdul El-Sayed can try to rewrite history, but the receipts show that Abdul’s hypocrisy with Kamala Harris is just the latest example of his issues with women,” said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Samantha Cantrell.
