Decoy Dan just put himself down as an Undeclared voter on his absentee ballot. But Decoy—who has zero history with the Republican Party—tried filing as a Republican the day he started his fraudulent campaign. Decoy Dan’s own actions have further proved he’s a liar who wants to rig Alaska’s U.S. Senate race.
“This is just another example in a long list of evidence that Decoy Dan is a fraudulent candidate planted by Mary Peltola and her Lower 48 cronies to confuse Alaskans. The evidence has been clear, overwhelming, and undeniable from the start. Anyone who says otherwise is willfully ignorant or carrying water for Mary Peltola,” said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Nick Puglia.

Decoy Dan is a sham candidate.
- Attempted to file as Daniel S. Sullivan which is Senator Sullivan’s name, not his.
- Decoy Dan’s website, logo, and branding are nearly identical to Dan S. Sullivan’s to further confuse voters.
- Has never been affiliated with the Republican Party, but tried filing as a Republican the day he started his campaign.
- Claimed he filed as a Republican because his dad was a “life-long Republican,” but he lied. Decoy Dan’s dad was never a registered Republican and voted in Democrat primaries in 2024 and 2006.
- Decoy Dan said he never planned on filing with the FEC and was forced to do so, admitting that he has zero intention of being a real candidate and every intention of just being a name on the ballot to rig Alaska’s U.S. Senate race.
Decoy Dan is a radical left Democrat.
- Voted for the Democrat in the last three presidential elections and for Peltola in 2022 and 2024.
- Decoy Dan is a Peltola supporter and donor.
- Has a magnet of Che Guevara on his fridge and attended No Kings protests.
- A shadowy Lower 48-based Super PAC funded by George Soros and Democrats is supporting Decoy Dan.
- Decoy Dan illegally colluded with the far-left 907 Initiative. Amber Lee worked with his campaign while sitting on the board of the group, and spending over $1 million against Senator Dan S. Sullivan.
- Amber Lee—the Democrat consultant caught running Decoy Dan’s campaign—runs a far-left consulting firm that strictly works for radical left clients, including a group that aims to “train women who are pro-choice, pro-LGBTQ rights, pro-union, anti-racist and pro-racial justice” to serve as candidates and volunteers.”
Decoy Dan was recruited by Mary Peltola and Pro-Peltola Democrats to rig Alaska’s U.S. Senate race.
- Decoy Dan was recruited by pro-Peltola Democrats who tried rigging RCV in ’24 for Peltola, including James Lottsfeldt who literally admitted he “had the idea at the time to recruit more candidates named Dan Sullivan to the Senate ballot to confuse voters.”
- Fraud Sullivan’s Democrat advisor, Amber Lee, worked at Lottsfeldt strategies in February, 2025, when the firm was paid by a pro-Peltola PAC ran by Lottsfeldt.
- Lottsfeldt strategies has scrubbed any evidence of Amber Lee working at their firm.
- Amber Lee—a Peltola “supporter” and Democrat strategist who said this year she wants Peltola to “win”—was caught authoring Decoy Dan’s press release announcing his sham candidacy.
- Peltola was in Petersburg—Decoy Dan’s hometown—just days before Fraud Sullivan announced his sham candidacy. Petersburg has a population of 3,003.
- Peltola has refused to personally denounce Decoy Dan or deny involvement.
The Pro-Peltola Democrats behind Decoy Dan tried these deceptive tactics before.
- In 2024, Vote Alaska Before Party PAC—led by James Lottsfeldt—tried to “game Alaska’s complicated electoral system to ensure Peltola has the best odds of prevailing in November.”
- Amber Lee’s Democrat consulting firm received thousands of dollars for “PAC Strategy Consulting” from Vote Alaska Before Party PAC, “a single-candidate super PAC in support of Mary Peltola” that has spent at least $10.4 million for Peltola.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer’s non-profit is involved with Decoy Dan’s campaign.
- Decoy Dan’s campaign rep, Alan Harris, is the lead in an ad by Chuck Schumer’s Majority Forward, attacking Senator Dan Sullivan.
- Harris hand-delivered Fraud Dan’s declaration of candidacy.
- Harris is also Amber Lee’s boyfriend, Decoy Dan’s Democrat strategist.
Decoy Dan’s son is close with the pro-Peltola Democrats who recruited Decoy Dan.
- Decoy Dan’s son, Noah Sullivan, previously worked for Alaska Democrat operative Jonathan Kreiss-Tomkins who is close with James Lottsfeldt.
- Kreiss-Tomkins has worked to recruit independent candidates alongside with Fake Independent Dan Osborn in Nebraska—who helped recruit Graham Platner.
- Noah works for Washington Representative Marie Gluesenkamp Perez, who was co-chair of the Blue Dog Democrats with Mary Peltola.
