Today a Democratic superPAC went up with $400,000 worth of television ads propping up Senator Tester ahead of the political battle of his life this November.

Only question is: will Senator Tester make good on his promise to reject support from these Democratic dark money groups and tell the group to take down its ads? After all, that’s what he told KPAX he’d do just a few months ago…

  • VIDEO: “These groups that are buying ads have an agenda… I’m certainly not going to let a group come in, funded by folks outside the state of Montana.” – Senator Jon Tester (KPAX Channel 8, 2/22/17)

WORTH NOTING: Senator Tester’s own campaign committee is funded mostly by “folks outside the state of Montana.” According to a recent analysis by MTN News, at least 81% of his campaign funds came from individuals and political-action committees outside of Montana.

“Montanans are tired of politicians like Jon Tester who say one thing and do another,” said NRSC Spokesman Calvin Moore. “This type of double standard is exactly why Senator Tester is in such hot water this November. Senator Tester should keep his word, demand these groups stop airing ads on his behalf and reject outside money from financing his campaign.”
