Joe Manchin is getting called out back home for his failure to answer basic questions about his involvement in a pair of shady hotel deals that are the subject of multiple lawsuits and hundreds of thousands of dollars in unpaid taxes.
The Dominion Post, in a Sunday editorial, takes Manchin to task saying:
“Manchin needs to clear the air about this hotel case immediately.
“When we contacted his office with questions, the response then was, ‘We don’t have any comment at this time.’ That was a week ago. At press time Thursday, there was still no comment.
“’Please Do Not Disturb’ signs hanging on hotel room doors generally grant you some privacy.
“No-comment emails printed in newspapers will not have that effect.”
