Even Tester’s fellow Democrats are upset with his dark money hypocrisy. As you know, Tester has broken his promise to Montana families and is now welcoming outside spending.

As you know, Tester has broken his promise to Montana families and is now welcoming outside spending. This weekend, a concerned voter said Tester deserves a primary opponent because of his special interest hypocrisy. The voter said in the Billings Gazette:

“Sen. Jon Tester tells us that he wants to remove dark money from politics. Dark money is the unaccountable money that comes from political action committees. Here is the trick he is pulling on you: When he talks about dark money, he is not talking about the legalized bribes he takes from Wall Street and corporations.”

Tester has not only changed his tune on outside spending but he also continues to show his dark money hypocrisy…

February 2017: “I’m certainly not going let a group come in that’s funded by folks outside the state of Montana.(KPAX, 2/22/2017)

May 2017: “I don’t have the money for ads right now… Tester goes on to say– he appreciates anyone who would try to help.(ABC-Missoula, 5/30/2017)

He is also raising big money outside of Montana…

Over 88 Percent Of Tester’s Quarter 2 Individual Contributions Are From Out-Of-State. (Montanans For Tester)

Tester Raised More Money From California, New York, And The Washington D.C. Area Than Montana In The 2nd Quarter Of 2017. (Montanans For Tester)

It’s no surprise that even people in his own party are troubled by Tester’s dark money hypocrisy.
