Sherrod Brown is on the wrong end of a third fact check of the many lies in his first two campaign ads of 2018.
This time, Factcheck.org joined Politifact in admonishing Brown’s opening ad’s claims that Jim Renacci was a lobbyist, concluding, “There is no evidence that Renacci ever lobbied Congress.” This latest fact check joins two others from yesterday that called out lies in both of Brown’s campaign ads that have run in 2018.
“Sherrod Brown has resorted to false personal attacks on Jim Renacci for one reason – he has nothing else to run on,” said NRSC Spokesman Bob Salera. “Brown has nothing to show for his 43 years in politics other than an extreme liberal record that is far out-of-step with Ohio voters, and it’s clear he’ll say anything to change the subject.”
