By now you’ve probably seen Mexico Joe Donnelly’s Veep-esque TV ad where he “chops” wood and pretends to be a conservative.
Turns out Mexico Joe’s wood chopping is as fake as his phony conservative record. As anyone who’s been paying attention knows, Mexico Joe is a liberal on taxes, voting no on the Trump-Pence tax cuts, a liberal on foreign policy, voting yes on Obama’s Iran nuclear deal, and a liberal on immigration, voting yes on amnesty.
And as for his wood chopping, as Twitter points out, Mexico Joe is swinging his ax at precut wood. What a fraud!
Background:
In December 2017, Mexico Joe voted against the final version of the tax reform bill, which cut individual and corporate tax rates, repeal ObamaCare’s individual mandate, and open up the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) for drilling. (Roll Call Vote #323, 12/20/17, Donnelly Voted Nay)
In 2015, Mexico Joe supported the Iran nuclear deal, saying it is “our best chance to stop an Iranian bomb without another war in the Middle East.” Mexico Joe opposed several measures that were tough on Iran, like making the agreement a “treaty” that would require the advice and consent of the Senate, and requiring Iran to recognize Israel as a sovereign and independent state.
