Exams are set to start today at Stanford Law School, concluding what has been a brutal quarter for Senator Russ Feingold.

Feingold, who has yet to announce whether he will continue to live in California next quarter, has at least one more week before exams end to soak up the California sun – and more California cash.

Though he lectured and raised money across the country, Feingold still managed to teach Wisconsinites how much he has changed since he first ran for Senate in 1992.

In this quarter alone, Wisconsinites learned that Senator Feingold:
Completely disregarded his 1992 garage door pledge.

  • The majority of Mr. Clean’s funds now come from out of state.
  • Was busted by PolitiFact for "Fully Flopping" on campaign contributions.
  • Received a "hand-delivered" memo from a Tomah VA rep seeking help in 2009 – five years before the death of a Marine.
  • Put his principles up for sale at the very Washington, DC bar where he said lobbyists buy influence. The going rate for Feingold’s principles now ranges from $150-$2,700.
  • Cashed in out of office after they fired him, despite Feingold’s previous criticism of speaking fees.
  • No longer wants outside spending groups to "get the hell out" of his state – whichever state that may be.
  • Spent 64% of his adult life in office.
  • Accepted more than $100,000 in bundled lobbyist contributions from J Street PAC.

Thus, in this quarter alone, Wisconsinites learned enough about Senator Feingold and his hypocrisy to know that he is failing in his desperate attempt to return to Washington, DC after spending nearly two decades in the Senate.
