Washington, D.C. – He has said it before, but pro-Bernie Pennsylvania Democrat Senate candidate John Fetterman recently acknowledged he wants to ban fracking, just not right away.

Fetterman to CNN: “We should transition away from carbon-based fuels, but that is not something that you can just flip a switch metaphorically, no pun intended, and start immediately like banning fracking,” he said. “It’s a transition.”

According to a NRSC national polling, 62% of American voters, including 65% of independents, oppose a ban on fracking.

Fracking is an integral part of Pennsylvania’s economy, supporting tens of thousands of PA jobs. Banning it would only hurt hardworking Pennsylvania families. Pennsylvanians deserve and need a leader who will help support and keep their economy moving forward, not take action to sink it.
