Joe Manchin sure is sounding desperate as he deals with the fallout of his decision to vote against the Republican tax cut bill.
Manchin told The Daily Beast that he is back trying to kiss up to President Trump after the President slammed the Democrat Senator as a do-nothing Senator and a fake moderate. Manchin has taken every possible opportunity to get in the camera frame with President Trump, but has refused all opportunities to support his agenda, voting against legislation supported by the President 72.4% of the time.
“President Trump exposed Joe Manchin for the fraud he really is, and no amount of damage control is going to change that,” said NRSC Spokesman Bob Salera. “Manchin’s vote against President Trump’s tax cut plan was just the last straw in a year where he repeatedly chose to side with his Democratic Party bosses in Washington over West Virginians.”
