Graham Platner has had yet another terrible, horrible, no good, very bad week. But Maine Democrat primary voters and other radical supporters like Bernie Sanders aren’t backing down. Platner had a packed house event in Maine last night and is leading Janet Mills by 34% in a new poll conducted as it all unfolded!
Here’s what’s new this week:
- The Nazi Tattoo: On Monday, Platner revealed he had a Nazi SS Totenkopf or “death’s head” symbol tattooed on his chest. After initially denying he knew what the symbol meant, an old acquaintance of Platner’s told Jewish Insider that he remembers him bragging about his Nazi tattoo at a Capitol Hill bar years ago, “He said, ‘Oh, this is my Totenkopf.’” Platner’s political director also said Platner “knows damn well what it means.“
- Prep Kid Roots:
- Despite presenting himself as a working-class oyster farmer, the Washington-Free Beacon reported that Platner attended The Hotchkiss School, an elite boarding school in Connecticut that costs upwards of $75,000 a year.
- Platner’s father also donated $60,000 to Democrat candidates and causes.
- A lot more “Shitposting”:
- Politico uncovered more Reddit posts revealing that Platner called Maine lobstermen “drug addicted maniacs” and “pieces of shit … absolutely terrible people.” He also added that “lots of guys are assholes, some are strung out or drunks, and some are lazy.”
- The Advocate reported that Platner has a long history of using homophobic slurs saying, “Betcha not a single downvoter is a real combat vet. Feel free to back it up with facts, f*gs.”
This all comes on the heels of a laundry list of exposés about Platner’s history of “shitposting” as he likes to call it:
- Admitting “I got older and became a communist“
- Dismissing “all” police as bastards
- Saying rural White Americans “actually are” racist and stupid
- Writing that if people “expect to fight fascism without a good semi-automatic rifle, they ought to do some reading of history”
- Downplayed rape commenting, “If you’re so worried about it to buy Kevlar underwear you’d think you might not get blacked out f—-d up around people you aren’t comfortable with”
- Asking why Black people “don’t tip”
“Democrat progressives must really hate Chuck Schumer’s handpicked candidate Janet Mills if they’re willing to stick with Graham Platner after all that’s come out,” said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Samantha Cantrell. “Chuck Schumer and establishment Democrats are unloading their arsenal in a desperate attempt to drag poor Mills through this messy primary.”
