Once again, Heidi Heitkamp voted to deny North Dakota families and businesses the tax cut they have earned and deserve.
Heitkamp has now rejected multiple opportunities to support historic tax relief, choosing instead to side with Chuck Schumer and the rest of her Democratic Party bosses. Heitkamp’s refusal to support lower taxes for the middle class, higher economic growth and a competitive playing field for North Dakota businesses will leave her constituents worse off. North Dakotans can’t afford politicians who are more interested in toeing the party line than delivering results.
“Heidi Heitkamp decided to put the partisan demands of D.C. Democrats before the everyday needs of North Dakota families and businesses struggling to make ends meet,” said NRSC Spokesman Michael McAdams. “Heitkamp’s vote against middle-class tax cuts is just the latest example of her bowing to the Washington liberal agenda at the expense of North Dakotans.”
