Heitkamp votes NO on middle-class tax relief
Senator Heidi Heitkamp voted against providing historic tax relief for North Dakota families and businesses.
Heitkamp’s reckless vote comes despite this legislation delivering thousands of dollars in tax relief for middle-class families, creating an atmosphere that fosters new job growth and ensuring American businesses can grow and compete. Heitkamp’s decision is sure to be unpopular with North Dakota voters, who just last year voted for Republicans’ promise of smaller government and lower taxes.
“Senator Heitkamp revealed that her loyalty lies with Chuck Schumer and Washington Democrats, instead of hardworking North Dakota families and businesses,” said NRSC Spokesman Michael McAdams. “North Dakotans won’t forget that when Heidi Heitkamp had the opportunity to put more money in their pockets, she folded to the demands of her party bosses in Washington.”
Senator Bob Casey voted against providing historic tax relief for Pennsylvania families and businesses.
