Heidi Heitkamp released a new radio ad today painting herself as someone who’s above partisanship, but North Dakotans know this is just a phony act.
Voters only need to look at her refusal to support eminently qualified CIA nominee Gina Haspel, who President Trump chose to lead the vital national security agency. Her latest political stunt is nothing new. While in office, Heitkamp was a rubber stamp for Barack Obama and has consistently supported Washington liberals’ attempts to block President Trump’s agenda. She’s voted against President Trump on every major issue including opposing tax cuts for the middle class, rejecting attempts to repeal Obamacare, failing to get tough on sanctuary cities and voting to keep job-killing regulations on North Dakota’s natural gas producers.
So while Heidi Heitkamp claims she’s doing what’s best for North Dakotans, her plummeting approval ratings reflect that voters know she has failed them over and over again.
