On his Senate website, Manchin is advertising open positions at the Hilton Garden Inn in Morgantown. This is the same hotel that, along with two other West Virginia hotels, has been a source of trouble for Manchin in recent months. In addition to a bankruptcy and a sheriff’s department raid over unpaid taxes, it’s also been reported that Manchin’s Hilton Garden Inn failed to pay its employees. That’s the Manchin way – his millionaire CEO daughter may lay you off before the holidays, but ol’ Joe will be there to give you a job that doesn’t pay!
“West Virginians laid off by Joe Manchin’s daughter can rest easy knowing that Manchin’s deadbeat hotel company is hiring,” said NRSC Spokesman Bob Salera. “Instead of using his Senate website to find replacements for his hotel’s workers who quit after not being paid, Joe Manchin ought to ask his daughter to stop firing West Virginians.”
