Privileged Patrick Murphy probably doesn’t easily forget his silver spoon lifestyle – hard to do when you’re yachting around Nantucket on ‘Cocktails’ – but there’s no point in taking chances.
Today, the NRSC sent Murphy his very own silver spoon to commemorate his life of unimaginable privilege – from growing up the son of a wealthy developer to the polo matches on Fisher Island to having his dad bankroll his political career with massive six-figure super PAC contributions. The spoon will arrive at Murphy’s campaign office later this week.
The spoon is engraved with ‘Patrick’ on the front and ‘January 2011’ on the back, marking the date Murphy switched his voter registration from Republican to Democrat so his dad could buy him his first political office.
