Debbie Stabenow got some unwelcome news this morning as the chairman of the Senate Democrats’ campaign arm, Senator Chris Van Hollen, said Senate Democrats would “welcome support” from failed Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton on the campaign trail.
Van Hollen must have forgotten that Clinton lost Michigan and her arrival would serve as a stark reminder that Stabenow supported Clinton even after she called Trump voters deplorable.
The question of the day is will Stabenow welcome Clinton to the state and remind voters that she still supports Clinton and her failed policies?
“Michigan has already rejected Hillary Clinton and her arrival in the state would remind voters that Debbie Stabenow was her #1 fan,” said Katie Martin, NRSC Communications Director. “Stabenow owes voters an answer for why she stuck by Clinton while she was calling Michiganders deplorable, and why she continues to support Clinton’s failed policies that doomed her presidential run.”
