Washington, D.C. – With crime rates rising across the country and Democrats facing political challenges for their backing of the ‘defund the police’ movement, several House Democrats sent a letter to Speaker Pelosi and House Democrat leadership to take up legislation to help boost police funding. Two names not listed are Senate hopefuls Tim Ryan and Val Demings.
Quite ironic coming from Demings, who just last week released her first ad attempting to trick voters into believing she cares about law enforcement. Ryan is no better as he continues to flip-flop on every issue while on the campaign trail, including defunding the police.
Democrats know their chances this November are slim, and they are clearly on the wrong side of every issue. It’s no wonder why they would choose to lie to voters on the campaign trail but do the complete opposite in Washington when it comes to taking on their party. Instead of using law enforcement officers as pawns for their political gain, why won’t Ryan and Demings join their colleagues in supporting adequate funding and actually back the blue?
