“At one time, the Democratic Party would have cleared the Senate field for a candidate like Conor Lamb. Not anymore.”

Washington, D.C. – We can only imagine that Congressman Conor Lamb didn’t enjoy reading his news clips this morning. Not only did his state’s Democrat Party not endorse him, but Washington Democrats (the DSCC) haven’t either and strategists don’t think he’s the shoo-in that Lamb (or the party establishment) believes he is. Ouch.

Take a look at what they’re saying from this morning’s Politico:

It’s not looking good for Lamb, if that’s not already clear.

Statement from NRSC Spokeswoman Lizzie Litzow: “Not a great Tuesday morning for Conor Lamb who thinks he’s a shoo-in for Pennsylvania’s Senate seat. Not only did his State Party decline to endorse him, but the DSCC has also stayed out of the race. The writing is clearly on the wall, but Lamb’s campaign is choosing to look right past it.”
