Washington, D.C. – This morning, Mark Kelly announced a new infrastructure plan. Unfortunately for Arizonans, Kelly’s infrastructure plan will only benefit illegal immigrants. His new plan calls for more buses and housing for immigrants who cross the border illegally into Arizona.

When asked about his plan to fix the border crisis he helped create, Kelly gave a rambling non-answer. But when he was pressed, Kelly said he wants a “transportation plan” and called for more facilities to house illegal immigrants.

There’s one glaring omission from Mark Kelly’s “plan” to fix the border crisis: border security. April was the highest month ever recorded for illegal border crossings and deadly drugs are pouring in through the Southern Border. Yet, Mark Kelly still refuses to call for more border security.

Instead, he called for more taxpayer-funded transportation and housing for the record number of illegal immigrants crossing the border. Mark Kelly just slapped a huge welcome sign on Arizona and told illegal immigrants, if they come to Arizona, they’ll get free transportation and housing.

Statement from NRSC Spokesman Jonathan Turcotte: “Leave it to D.C. Darling Mark Kelly to announce an infrastructure plan for illegal immigrants while discussing Biden’s border crisis. He’s afraid to say the words ‘border security’ because he doesn’t want to upset his D.C. bosses. Arizonans deserve a Senator who fights for them in Washington. Not someone like Mark Kelly who has a long record of support for D.C. Democrats’ amnesty and open borders agenda.”
