After Katie McGinty resorted to calling Pat Toomey an “asshole” yesterday, the NRSC released a new video highlighting McGinty’s inappropriate and divisive name-calling. The video is supported by a paid banner ad campaign during the Democratic convention that will direct voters who are searching online for Katie McGinty to the video. As reported by The Hill, the new spot takes aim at McGinty by repurposing a Clinton ad that is currently on the airwaves:

The Senate Republicans’ campaign arm is needling Pennsylvania Democratic Senate nominee Katie McGinty for calling her opponent an "asshole," borrowing from Hillary Clinton’s new ad to paint her rhetoric as disqualifying.

"Our children and grandchildren will look back at this time at the choices we are about to make…and we need to make sure that they can be proud of us," Clinton says in a clip of a speech included in the NRSC ad.
The video then jumps to footage of McGinty from a press conference on Monday when she followed up on remarks from Communication Workers of America President Chris Shelton with an off-color comment.

It’s meant to flip the script on Democrats, who have long accused Trump of setting a bad example for their children. That message was on display as recently as Monday night, when first lady Michelle Obama jabbed at Trump during her Democratic National Convention speech.
