Washington, D.C. – In case you missed it, career politician Tim Ryan refused to show up to work last week so he could campaign for a promotion while using Covid as an excuse. This isn’t the first time he’s done this either.

He lied about why he needs to vote by proxy, got caught, and now is doubling down and wanting to make proxy voting permanent

Tim Ryan was caught red-handed. According to The Ohio Press Network:

Instead of showing up for work Wednesday, Ryan was stumping for another job in the U.S. Senate. Ryan tweeted pictures from events Wednesday despite claiming he was “unable to physically attend proceedings in the House Chamber due to the ongoing public health emergency.”

Then Two-Faced Tim doubled down. According to Breitbart:

Ohio U.S. Senate hopeful Rep. Tim Ryan (D) claimed that proxy voting in Congress should be permanent — ultimately allowing lawmakers to not show up for in-person work — after he abused the rule in order to hit the campaign trail all week.

Statement from NRSC Spokeswoman Lizzie Litzow: “Career politician Tim Ryan gets paid hundreds of thousands of dollars by taxpayers and is using Covid voting procedures to not do the job they’re paying him to do. And he wants to make sure other career politicians like him can do the same by making remote voting rules permanent. Unfortunately for him, he won’t be able to benefit from taxpayer-funded vacations for much longer, since Ohioans aren’t big fans of paying people for nothing.”
