Rod Blagojevich: "…I’m looking forward to getting the truth out"

Tammy Duckworth: "…I am looking forward to getting the truth out"

Just like not-so-old times, Tammy Duckworth is taking her cues from Rod Blagojevich.

With the exception of an apostrophe, Duckworth is repeating talking points verbatim from her former, imprisoned boss as she evades questions from reporters about her pre-election trial.

Just as she allegedly urged a courageous VA whistleblower to do, Duckworth is staying silent.

Watch as Tammy Duckworth refuses to answer if she will testify at her August whistleblower retaliation trial:

As it turns out, the people of Illinois also share the supposed Blagojevich/Duckworth desire to get the truth out. NBC Chicago recently reported that "63% of Illinois voters say Duckworth should testify in trial":

…a majority of Illinoisans think Rep. Tammy Duckworth should have to testify in an August trial related to a workplace retaliation lawsuit stemming from her time as Director of the Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs. According to the GS Strategy Group poll of 600 likely Illinois voters, 63 percent of respondents said Duckworth should have to testify “because she was a state employee as the head of the VA, and Illinois voters deserve to know the truth behind her actions”…57 percent of Democrats said Duckworth should testify…69 percent of independent voters said Duckworth should have to testify…

Blagojevich ultimately decided not to testify at his corruption trial for attempting to sell the very Senate seat Duckworth seeks.

As she repeats his talking points, will Tammy Duckworth also copy Blagojevich’s refusal to testify?
