In case you missed it, Kamala Harris will be campaigning in purple states across the country ahead of November. So far, it’s unclear if Harris will be parachuting into North Carolina to stump for her best friend, Roy Cooper.
Remember, Cooper and Harris are extremely close. Just watch Harris and Cooper praising each other on the campaign trail over the years. They literally finish each other’s sentences telling the same story.
- Harris has already endorsed Cooper for U.S. Senate.
- Cooper was on Harris’ shortlist to be her running mate, but ended up losing to Tim Walz (which is quite embarrassing).
- Cooper was Harris’ first call after she learned Joe Biden was dropping out of the presidential race.
- Cooper backed Harris for president.
President Trump carried North Carolina three times, and Democrats across the map are struggling with Harris throwing her weight around in races.
So, is Kamala Harris-backed Roy Cooper going to welcome his friend to the Tar Heel state?
“Before Tim Walz, there was Roy Cooper—the original Kamala Harris simp. No matter what Roy Cooper says or does, he is tied to the hip of his long-time best friend forever,” said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Nick Puglia.
