During her time as governor, Janet Mills has prioritized expanding transgender rights, providing taxpayer-funded healthcare to undocumented immigrants, and repeatedly clashing with the Trump administration.
“As Governor, Janet Mills expanded transgender rights, offered taxpayer-funded healthcare to illegal immigrants, and fought President Trump every chance she had,” said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Samantha Cantrell. “Mainers deserve a senator who puts leadership above politics, not Mills, who is more interested in advancing her radical agenda.”
