WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Senator Jon Ossoff (D-GA) voted again to continue Democrats’ government shutdown, betraying Georgia veterans, troops, and working families anxious for their benefits, paychecks, and critical services to be restored. Ossoff has voted to shut down the government four times, including today. Ossoff and Senate Democrats’ radical demands to reopen the government include $1.5 trillion in new spendingfunding free healthcare for illegal aliens, and cutting $50 billion in funding for rural hospitals provided by the Working Family Tax Cuts.

“Jon Ossoff is fighting to give illegals free healthcare at the expense of our military families’ pay, critical veterans’ services, and government functions like TSA and air traffic control,” said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Nick Puglia. “Ossoff’s repeatedly made free healthcare for illegal aliens his priority over Georgia families, troops, and veterans who are all being hurt by his selfish liberal priorities.”

  • Ossoff previously voted to shut down the government, delaying paychecks to military service members, and risking veterans’ healthcare. 
  • Ossoff also voted to shut down the federal government earlier this year.
