Jon Ossoff is lying about why St. Mary’s hospital in Lavonia, Georgia is shutting down. Ossoff claims “Trump’s Medicaid cuts” are the reason for the closure. But that couldn’t be further from the truth.
“Jon Ossoff is lying to Georgians again. St. Mary’s Healthcare System is owned and operated by an out-of-state conglomerate whose Trump-hating, pro-DEI Democrat CEO started making cuts to services under President Biden,” said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Nick Puglia. “While President Trump is working to ensure Medicaid serves Americans who truly need it, Jon Ossoff is trying to cover Democrats’ own failures to address rural healthcare by lying to patients and working in lockstep with this CEO who took home over $5 million despite the company’s gross financial mismanagement. Democrats like Ossoff let St. Mary’s go into financial mismanagement for years until Republicans stepped up this year to pass a $50 billion Rural Health Fund — the single largest investment in rural healthcare in our nation’s history, delivered through the Working Family Tax Cuts.”

more than $130,000 in bonuses. Other top executives made millions as well. - Slubowski criticized President Trump for withdrawing from the unfair Paris Climate Accords.
- Slubowski donated to Joe Biden’s 2020 presidential campaign, and has a history
of supporting Democrats, including Chuck Schumer. - In a 2024 DEI report from Trinity Health, Mike Slubowski said that Trinity
has a “commitment” to DEI, that DEI is a “testament to our progress,” and that “the
work of DEI won’t D-I-E at Trinity Health.” - Trinity Health’s Senior Vice President of DEI, LaRonda Chastang has “put
DEI in motion systemwide,” and said that “DEI is a central part of living our
mission, core values and achieving our vision.” - A fiscal year 2024 independent audit found that there were “significant” deficiencies
in internal controls and five separate deficiencies in Trinity Health facilities for the misuse of funds. One facility did not report $2,000,000 it received from Joe Biden’s inflationary American Rescue Plan.
