Yesterday, Russ must have set a new world record on WISN-TV‘s "UPFRONT with Mike Gousha" for the speed with which he flip-flopped on national security.

At 11:14 AM, Senator Feingold explained that in order to win the fight against ISIS, "we need to have more human intelligence":

GOUSHA: "Do you think we’re winning in the fight against ISIS?"

SENATOR FEINGOLD: "You know what? I don’t think that’s something that’s clear yet. I think what’s clear is that we’re beginning to cut off much of their territory. We have taken back Fallujah, which is great. But we cannot fool ourselves that this is all. We have to do more…we need to have more human intelligence."

At 11:15 AM, Senator Feingold defended his votes against the very human intelligence tools he deemed necessary in the fight against ISIS:

SENATOR FEINGOLD: "And I think I’ve made the right calls in the past by voting against the PATRIOT Act…"

He just couldn’t help himself.

It took exactly one minute for Senator Feingold to go off message by admitting that he still believes in his dangerously weak votes against our national security.

Senator Feingold’s self-proclaimed "right calls in the past" include casting the only vote against increasing terrorism surveillance, the only vote against extending the lone wolf terrorist provision, and one of only ten votes against the provision’s reauthorization.

If all it takes is one minute for Senator Feingold to revert back to his reckless ways, imagine how far left he would drift with another six years.
