WASHINGTON, D.C. — The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) released a new digital ad today slamming Janet Mills for supporting Chuck Schumer’s government shutdown. Federal funding for SNAP benefits is set to run out this Halloween weekend, leaving over 160,000 Mainers, including an estimated 63,000 children, without the assistance they need to put food on the table.

“This Halloween, parents will struggle to feed their children, while Janet Mills continues to support Schumer and the far Left’s refusal to open the government in their effort to give illegal immigrants free healthcare,” said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Samantha Cantrell.
