The auto industry is the backbone of Michigan’s economy, employing nearly 600,000 people across the state. Yet, Mallory McMorrow has a new pitch for auto workers: ditch your job and take up beekeeping instead.

It is only fitting that she will spend her Monday at Hive North, a beehive themed brewery in Cheboygan, pushing her new ideas on Michiganders.

“Nothing promotes ‘Made in America’ manufacturing like telling Michigan’s proud auto workers to ditch their jobs and take up beekeeping instead,” said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Samantha Cantrell. “While Mallory McMorrow is trying to create buzz around her ridiculous idea, Mike Rogers is working to strengthen manufacturing in Detroit and bring more jobs back home to Michigan.”
