Joe Manchin is backpedaling hard, apparently realizing that his support for failed Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is a liability in a state she lost by 42 points.
But back when he thought he was politically invincible (i.e. as recently as last year), Manchin was not shy about his undying support for Clinton. Indeed, Manchin stood by Hillary even after she promised to put coal miners out of work.
So keep trying, Joe! But you’re never going to be able to get out of Hillary Clinton’s shadow.
