Once again, Joe Manchin voted to deny West Virginia families and businesses the tax cut they have earned and deserve.
Manchin has now rejected multiple opportunities to support historic tax relief, choosing instead to side with Chuck Schumer and the rest of his Democratic Party bosses. Manchin’s refusal to support lower taxes for the middle class, higher economic growth and a competitive playing field for West Virginia businesses will leave his constituents worse off. West Virginians can’t afford politicians who are more interested in toeing the party line than delivering results.
“Joe Manchin decided to put the partisan demands of D.C. Democrats before the everyday needs of West Virginia families and businesses struggling to make ends meet,” said NRSC Spokesman Bob Salera. “Manchin’s vote against middle-class tax cuts is just the latest example of his bowing to the Washington liberal agenda at the expense of West Virginians.”
