While the majority of West Virginians are letting Joe Manchin know that they want him to confirm Judge Brett Kavanaugh, the WV Democrat is not immune to problems with his base.
This afternoon, a local liberal group staged a sit-in in one of Manchin’s campaign offices in West Virginia. The dueling images of West Virginia voters demanding Manchin vote yes on Judge Kavanaugh from this weekend and today’s protest by Manchin’s liberal base illustrate just how much of a no-win situation Manchin finds himself in.
