Washington, D.C. – Mandela Barnes has railed against dark money, vowing to “stand up to the corrupting influence of dark money.” But, just yesterday, it was reported by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that instead of “standing up,” he crumbled. Barnes begged for and accepted help from D.C. liberal super PACs, one who poured more than $450,000 into his Senate race.
Barnes is backed fully by D.C. liberals and there’s no hiding from it now.
Statement from NRSC Spokeswoman Lizzie Litzow: “Like other Democrats running for Senate this year, Mandela Barnes is just another typical phony politician saying one thing and doing the opposite. It’s clear that D.C. liberals are backing Barnes, who was endorsed by liberal U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren and socialist AOC. D.C. liberals want Barnes to be a rubber stamp for Biden’s failing agenda that is hurting Wisconsinites, and Barnes would be just that if elected.”
